1. What Information Do We Collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.
Application Data
If you use our App, we may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:
Location Data (GPS / Geolocation)
Our App uses location data (GPS and/or network-based positioning) to provide its core "Location-Based Alarms" (Geofencing) feature. This feature allows you to set alarms that only trigger when your device is located within a geographic zone you have defined (for example, your home, office, or hotel).
- Type of data collected: GPS coordinates used for geofence zone monitoring. Geofence zone definitions (center point coordinates and radius) that you create within the App.
- When collected: The App requires the
ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATIONpermissions to monitor geofences even when the App is not in the foreground or the device screen is off. This is necessary because alarms must be evaluated against your current location at the scheduled alarm time, which may occur while the App is closed or the device is in sleep mode. Location access occurs only for the purpose of evaluating geofences at alarm trigger times. - Purpose: Location data is used solely to determine whether your device is within a defined geofence zone at the time an alarm is scheduled to trigger. If you are outside the zone, the alarm remains silent. No other use is made of your location data.
- Storage: All location data — including geofence zone definitions and any coordinates — is stored exclusively on your device (locally, in the App's internal database). We do NOT transmit, upload, or share your location data with any server, cloud service, or third party. We do not operate any servers that collect or process location data.
- Sharing: Your location data is never shared with any third parties, advertisers, analytics providers, or any other external entities.
- Control: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device's system settings (Settings → Apps → Simple Smart Alarm → Permissions). Revoking location access will disable the Location-Based Alarm feature, but all other alarm features will continue to work normally. You can also delete individual geofence zones within the App at any time.
Calendar Access
The App may request access to your device's calendar to read public holidays and personal events for the automatic "Skip on Holidays" feature. Calendar data is read locally and is not transmitted to any server or third party.
Other Device Permissions
- Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): To ensure alarms fire at the precise scheduled time.
- Notifications: To display alarm alerts and related notifications.
- Vibration: To provide haptic feedback when an alarm triggers.
All device permissions can be managed through your device's system settings.
Data Storage and Security
Simple Smart Alarm operates entirely offline. All your data — including alarm settings, geofence zones, holiday lists, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that collect, store, or process your personal data. The App does not contain any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
Backup files are created locally on your device and are under your full control. You decide where to store and how to manage your backup files.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services. Since the App operates entirely offline and does not transmit any data, processing is limited to the local operations described in Section 1.
3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
In Short: We do not share your personal information with any third parties.
Since the App operates entirely offline and does not transmit any data to external servers, your personal information — including location data — is never shared with any third parties. The only situation where your information might be transferred is:
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is automatically removed by the operating system. You can also delete specific data (alarms, geofence zones, holidays) within the App at any time.
If you create backup files, those files remain on your device until you choose to delete them manually.
5. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. 6. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
In Short: You may review, change, or terminate your use of the App at any time.
Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by:
- Revoking specific permissions (such as location access) in your device's system settings.
- Deleting your data within the App (alarms, geofence zones, holidays).
- Uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data.

However, please note that withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

7. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Since the App does not connect to the internet and does not track your online activities, DNT signals are not applicable.

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice.
