This Privacy Notice for Foleks Apps ("we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our mobile application Events Widget ("the App," "Services").

1. What Information Do We Collect?

In Short: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.

Application Data

If you use our App, we may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

Contacts Data

The App may request access to your device's contacts (READ_CONTACTS) to read names and birth dates of your contacts. This data is used solely to display upcoming birthdays, calculate ages, and determine zodiac signs within the App.

• Type of data collected: Contact display names and birth date fields.
• Purpose: To display birthdays from your contact list in the App and its home screen widget.
• Storage: Contact data is read directly from the device's contacts provider. We do NOT copy, transmit, upload, or share your contact information with any server, cloud service, or third party.
• Sharing: Your contact data is never shared with any third parties, advertisers, analytics providers, or any other external entities.
• Control: You can revoke the contacts permission at any time through your device's system settings (Settings → Apps → Events Widget → Permissions). Revoking access will disable the contacts-based birthday feature, but all other App features will continue to work normally.

Calendar Data

The App may request access to your device's calendar (READ_CALENDAR) to read events from Google Calendar and other system calendars. You can choose which calendars to display within the App.

• Type of data collected: Calendar event titles, dates, and recurrence rules from calendars you select.
• Purpose: To display upcoming calendar events in the App and its home screen widget.
• Storage: Calendar data is read directly from the device's calendar provider. We do NOT copy, transmit, upload, or share your calendar data with any server, cloud service, or third party.
• Sharing: Your calendar data is never shared with any third parties.
• Control: You can revoke the calendar permission at any time through your device's system settings. You can also select or deselect specific calendars within the App.

File Access

The App may request access to your device's storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to import event dates from text files (such as birthdays.txt, Holidays.txt, and floating.txt) stored on your device.

• Type of data collected: Event names and dates from user-created text files.
• Purpose: To import and display custom events, holidays, and floating date formulas defined by you.
• Storage: Imported data is stored locally within the App on your device. The original text files remain under your control on your device's storage.
• Sharing: File contents are never shared with any third parties, servers, or external services.
• Control: You can revoke the storage permission at any time through your device's system settings. This will disable the file import feature, but all other App features will continue to work normally.

Network Usage (Public Holiday API)

The App uses an internet connection (INTERNET) to retrieve a list of public holidays for a country you select. The App connects to a third-party public API provided by Nager.Date.

• Data sent: Only a country code (e.g., "UA", "RU", "US") is sent as part of the API request URL. No personal information, device identifiers, or user data is transmitted.
• Data received: A list of public holiday names and dates for the selected country and year.
• Purpose: To display public holidays for your selected country in the App and its home screen widget.
• Standard network behavior: As with any internet connection, your device's IP address is visible to the API server as part of the standard HTTP protocol. This is inherent to how the internet works and is not initiated or controlled by us.
• Third-party policy: The Nager.Date API is an open-source public service. We encourage you to review their documentation at date.nager.at. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for their data handling practices.
• Control: You can disable the public holidays feature within the App or restrict the App's internet access through your device's system settings.

Other Device Permissions

• Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): To ensure event reminders and notifications fire at the precise scheduled time.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To display event reminders and birthday notifications.
• Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): To restore scheduled reminders and widget updates after a device restart.

All device permissions can be managed through your device's system settings.

Data Storage and Security

Events Widget stores all user-created data — including manually entered events, preferences, color settings, and widget configurations — locally on your device. Contact and calendar data is read directly from device providers and is not duplicated to any external server. The App does not contain any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.

The only network request the App makes is to retrieve public holiday data, as described above. No personal information is included in this request.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services. Since the App stores all data locally and does not transmit personal information, processing is limited to the local operations described in Section 1 and the public holiday API request (which contains no personal data).

3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

In Short: We do not share your personal information with any third parties.

Your personal information — including contact data, calendar events, and user-created events — is never shared with any third parties. The only external communication is the public holiday API request, which does not contain any personal information. The only situation where your information might be transferred is:

• Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, all locally stored data (manually created events, preferences, widget settings) is automatically removed by the operating system. Contact and calendar data remains in your device's respective providers and is not affected by uninstalling the App.

You can also delete specific data (events, holidays, preferences) within the App at any time.

5. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at apps@foleks.com.

6. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

In Short: You may review, change, or terminate your use of the App at any time.

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by:

• Revoking specific permissions (such as contacts, calendar, or storage access) in your device's system settings.
• Deleting your data within the App (events, holidays, preferences).
• Uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data.
• Contacting us at apps@foleks.com.

However, please note that withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

7. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Since the App does not track your online activities and does not use any analytics or advertising frameworks, DNT signals are not applicable.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

• Nager.Date Public Holiday API (date.nager.at) — an open-source service that provides lists of public holidays by country. The App sends only a country code to this service and receives holiday names and dates in return. No personal information is transmitted. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of this third-party service.

9. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

• Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
